The Folklore Museum of Nafplion, regarded as one of the best in the country. The museum belongs to the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation, founded in 1974, named "Vasilios Papantoniou," to study, research and preservation, and the identification and promotion of Greek folklore wealth.

Over 25,000 artifacts housed with rare collections of costumes, textiles, traditional dishes and a rich library. Stand out old maps of the city of Nafplio, photos with traditional folk moments, while handicrafts made with care, are sold to visitors.

The Foundation receives pan-assessment and recognition and has been honored with the 1981 European Museum of the Year Award.
